CNC etched text on drywall

Text from the Basic Guide to Naturalization is etched into the wall. Over the course of
the exhibition the text was slowly redacted (spackled), creating new meanings. The
show ends as an empty white cube space. My practice relies heavily on the materiality of institutional space, an approach that
makes invisible labour visible. The wall becomes a metaphor for transparency, instead
of the common implications of it being a tool to block or segregate.
